So the first thing that pops up should be this article. And I'm going to type in XCode command line tools.
So I'm here in my desktop, and I'm going to open up Google Chrome. MATT DENNY : And so I'm going to quickly walk you through the process. These will install things like compilers and other libraries that will allow you to link up other programming languages to R and make it faster and more effective and more flexible, especially in terms of how you extend the functionality of R.
And so what this will allow you to do is access more functionality from R later. MATT DENNY : I'm going to recommend that you install the XCode command line tools first. It's a package that you can just install, and it'll just work on most modern Mac computers. MATT DENNY : right above this screencast that you can follow to actually download R and also XCode command line tools. There will also be some links in the written materials And I'm just going to quickly walk you through this to make sure that we prevent any issues when you're installing R.
